Bomb Vinho, on the other hand, is the heart of our mission. We’re all about shining a spotlight on the small, sustainable producers from Spain and Portugal who pour their passion into every bottle. This part of the project is focused on spreading the word about these incredible winemakers and the delicious, eco-friendly wines they create.

At Bomb Vinho, we don’t really care for the term “natural” when describing our wines. The word is often loaded with ambiguity, lacking a single, consistent definition. For some, it means wines with zero additives or intervention, while for others, it may simply indicate a lack of sulfites along with many other definitions, leaving room for confusion and in some cases even hoodwinking!

This variability can lead to misconceptions about quality. Many wines labeled as natural can sometimes fall short of expectations, with flavours that might be reminiscent of kombucha or worse. While there are indeed exceptional natural wines out there, the perception of quality can be inconsistent.

Instead, we prefer the term “minimal intervention.” This phrase more accurately describes our commitment to working with producers who intervene as little as possible while still ensuring the integrity and quality of their wines. By focusing on this approach, we celebrate winemakers dedicated to sustainability, high-quality craftsmanship, and the true expression of their terroir, allowing you to enjoy wines that are both delicious and responsibly made.

Meet Adam Lovell—a wine geek dedicated to bringing you the coolest juice out there! Hailing from New Zealand, Adam’s journey began in and around the city of Auckland, where he honed his skills in restaurants, vineyards, and wineries. After moving to Europe in 2016, he immersed himself in various wine projects, from exporting, marketing and running the wine programs at top restaurants to hands-on roles as a vineyard and cellar hand. He's even written a book, Trippin' & Sippin': A Quest For Bomb Vinho, chronicling his adventures! Now, he's turning his talents and unbridled enthusiasm to help spread the word of wicked wine projects from Portugal and Spain with the world with his project Bomb Vinho and this online shop, Bangers.
